The barge was built as a tank barge and the deck was reportedly reinforced for service with a crane on deck
in addition to adding two additional longitudinal corrugated non watertight bulkheads in
way the two midbody compartments. In addition the hull was reduced from 12’ depth to
8’ depth. The hull is divided into (6) compartments by (3) transverse and one partial
length longitudinal steel bulkheads. The hull is fitted with four approx. 27” x 27” internal
spudwells.
